It's been a wonderful experience, the Rous Unplugged journey. It was only in May, last year - 2012, that we had our first ever Rous Unplugged, and since then we've had a series of fantastic acoustic events. The quality of the performance has uplifted and thrilled audiences since its inception and continues to be of an awesome and inspiring standard. We've had dancers, poets, dramatic acts and all sorts of musicians. Our first Rous Unplugged for 2013 was held on Friday,January 25th, and was a resounding success, with over 100 very happy people in the audience. All performers did a fantastic job and the general level of satisfaction at the end of the night was almost palpable! Our next Rous Unplugged will be held on Friday, February 22nd and is looking to be a good one, so please mark it in your diaries. I'm a musician and music teacher at Alstonville High School and I've been wanting to get an acoustic event happening for some time now, and Rous Unplugged seems to be surpassing all my hopes! It's so great watching our community come together for this fantastic monthly evening of varied and excellent entertainment. Archives
